It is proven that being an active part of our learning process is much more effective than simply being passive recipients of information. That is why in recent years the use of technological tools such as Virtual reality have been of great help for the construction of educational strategies according to the challenges of the following decades. One of the objectives of education is to achieve a learning process adapted to the student and virtual reality is intended to help cover that need.

VR in education allows us to offer an exciting experience to students, how is this feasible? The use of virtual reality makes it possible for students to explore the environment through three-dimensional resources through the use and manipulation of virtual objects, processes and analysis of the object of study itself. In other words, if the educational program includes learning about characteristics of the circulatory system, with the use of VR students can navigate the bloodstream and eliminate a clot in the brain.

VR allows the user to immerse themselves in the digital simulation of a world in which they can manipulate objects and interact with the environment. In educational matters, this can generate a motivating effect, managing to promote significant learning, which is why VR has achieved wide acceptance in schools and universities.

For example: Exploring the universe has been possible through literary and digital resources, even more so those that show us the cosmos with precision and scientific rigor. With VR, it becomes possible to explore the Solar System from your classroom.

Using VR in classrooms allows us to build virtual environments or spaces focused on strengthening the user’s motivation for learning in an immersive, culturally relevant and emotionally binding way.

With the various examples throughout the world in which this technology is used, we can affirm that this will be one of the technologies with the greatest growth and institutional incorporation in the near future.
